Oyster Po Boy at Flatiron
Shelley Mann, Columbus Alive
Have you been to Flatiron lately? I hadn't. But a recent lunch meeting there rekindled my interest in this charming little Downtown spot, known for its down-home Southern-style dishes. I'd mostly had the barbecue before, which is plenty tasty. But this time around our entire table ordered from the specials menu -- and I'll never look back.
This Oyster Po Boy, packed full of crunchy fried shellfish and slathered in a yummy roulade, was outstanding, as were the smoky, roasted-till-they're-nearly-caramelized sweet potato fries (stolen off my dining companions' plates, since I unwisely chose the chips).
