The Dancing Hares

The 15-foot beasts in London artist Sophie Ryder's sculpture "Dancing Hares" are a great example of how public art can showcase recyclables.

These giants in Dublin's Ballantrae Park are made of bronze and have everyday household items and tools peeking out of their bodies. It's as if the objects have been eaten and become a part of the bunnies' shape.

The hares are meant to inspire whimsy and a sense of playfulness as onlookers count how many of those repurposed items they can find in the statue. Just ignore the fact that some of those items include a fake hand, a butcher's knife, a couple chains
