Alas, They Did

Kate looked stunning-- classic and elegant. William looked dapper in his military finery. And we've got to say it: It's nice to see the world celebrating an occasion that is happy, isn't it?
Kate, as anticipated, wore a gown by Sarah Burton, creative director at Alexander McQueen (along with McQueen shoes, diamond earrings from her parents and a Cartier tiara lent by the Queen).
She wore her hair half up, with flowing curls, and reportedly applied her own makeup. The ceremony was certainly more solemn than celebratory.
But once the newlyweds stepped outside the church, the party started. And we humbly curtsy to the bride, whose grace under the world's eyes is beyond admirable. Cheers.
