Boudin at Da Levee

Priced at $2 for a 2-ounce piece, it really is a snack rather than a meal. Basically, sausage casing is stuffed with a mix of meat (alligator, crayfish, shrimp, etc.) along with Cajun spices and rice. At Da Levee, that yummy mixture is squeezed out of the casing and onto a slice of Boehme's awesome, buttery Magic Bread. Very tasty. And don't be wary of the whole alligator thing--this stuff tastes a lot like your basic jambalaya, but it's a lot more fun to eat.
