Ohio may not have the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but the Buckeye State has appeared in its share of movies and television shows.

TourismOhio, the state tourism office, has compiled a list of Ohio places that have appeared on the Big Screen or in some cases The Food Network. The "Scene in Ohio" page on its website, www.sceneinohio.com, offers plenty of details on Ohio's Hollywood connections.

The Murphy Theatre in Wilmington appeared in "Lost in Yonkers." Malabar Farms and several other Mansfield locations were used in "The Shawshank Redemption." Cleveland's "A Christmas Story House" was the setting for Ralphie's holiday celebration in "A Christmas Story."

Locally, The Thurman Café, Katzinger's Delicatessen, and Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams have drawn the national foodie spotlight.

The website has travel itineraries and other helps for families wishing to do some stargazin.
