Got a future leader under your roof? The Central Ohio Leadership Academy is a great opportunity for current high-school juniors to develop leadership skills and connect with peers and community leaders.

The weeklong COLA workshop will take place June 16-21 on the campus of The Ohio State University. It's free to attend, but only 45 students are selected through a competitive application process. Online applications are being taken through April 18.

COLA was established in 2011 by the New Albany Community Foundation and is presented by the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio. During the intensive six-day COLA experience, students develop their leadership effectiveness by participating in professionally facilitated training sessions, interactive team challenges, and substantial discussions with peers and proven community leaders.

The workshop will take place from Monday, June 16 through Saturday, June 21 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. COLA's $1,700 student tuition is made free of charge to all students because of the program support provided by sponsors Jeff and Christine Rodek, the Easton Community Foundation, and the New Albany Community Foundation.
