The original and still the best alternative-craft show in central Ohio - Craftin' Outlaws - kicks off its 10th-anniversary year with a spring show in a roomy new home, the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The family-friendly shopping event runs 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 19, and features a curated selection of 75 of the hippest handmade vendors from central Ohio and the Midwest.

Just in time for Mother's Day, the festival will feature a wide variety of handmade gifts and other goods, including clothing, handbags, jewelry, paintings, posters, ceramics, knitted accessories, plush creatures, bath and body items, letterpress stationery and home décor items.

Craftin' Outlaws prides itself on being a family-friendly festival. A DJ will spin vinyl throughout the day and exhibitors will offer plenty of make-and-take craft stations and other interactive activities. Jessica Miller Photography will capture all the fun with a photo booth.

Admission is free. Proceeds from raffles and the popular Plinko Game will benefit the nonprofit group Columbus Diaper Coalition, a new diaper bank for Central Ohio families. For more information, go to www.craftinoutlaws.com.
