You know it's summer when the Columbus Arts Festival pops up again! All the artsy fun starts this Friday, June 6, on the Scioto Riverfront and continues through Sunday, June 8.

And you probably know the drill by now: Lots (280+) of great artist vendors situated in booths all along the riverfront and the Rich and Main street bridges; tasty food from many of Columbus' best restaurants; four stages for entertainment; AND the always awesome Hands On Art Activities Area with free art projects for kids and adults to make and take home.

The Hands On Art Activities Area is located in the parking lot near Civic Center Drive and Main Street. It will be open from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday.

Some of this year's projects include: Kite building; flag decorating; making a tie-dye flower or butterfly; sculpting glass beads (for ages 8+); face painting; creating wearable collages; and origami, to name just a few!
