Last Summer at the Olympic

If you're feeling nostalgic and want to head back in time for the afternoon, you must visit the Olympic Swim Club in Clintonville. This family-run pool opened in 1938. Sadly, after this summer, it will be closing for good. As soon as you walk through the old turnstile you are transported to a simpler time with kids laughing and lifeguards blowing whistles atop their old-fashioned chairs. The welcoming staff is more than happy to tell you all about the pool's long history-several athletes who competed in the summer Olympics came from across the United States to train at the club.
