The Best Places to Root for the USA
The United States plays Germany at noon today. This is our third game of the 2014 World Cup. So far, we've beaten Ghana and tied with Portugal. It's a very big deal, and it should certainly be a good game. It's almost game time, and if time you still don't have anywhere to watch it, we've rounded up a few prime last-minute spots to root for the USA.
Columbus Commons Viewing Party with the Food Truck Food Court
The Columbus Commons is airing the match on the Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion LCD screens, along with "concert-quality" audio. Beer will be sold on the north lawn, while the southern end of the park will host the weekly Food Truck Food Court featuring 8 local food trucks. Ice cream and pizza will also be available from permanent Commons spots Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams and Mikey's Late Night Slice. Food and drink sales are underway now, while the game itself begins at noon.
Columbus Crew Viewing Party atFadó Irish Pub
Head to Fadó Irish Pub at Easton Town Center for the Columbus Crew Cup Headquarters viewing party this afternoon. Every TV inside Fadó will (obviously) be tuned to the USA-Germany match, and there's even a big LED TV truck parked in the cordoned-off parking lot behind the restaurant. TheCrew.com will also stream a pre-match, halftime and post-match show live from the Fadó party, hosted by radio announcer Neil Sika and featuring select members of the Crew's World Cup speakers bureau. Homage will also be around with tees and other merch.
