LeBron, Johnny Manziel to appear at film screening
CLEVELAND (AP) — LeBron James is headed to a screening for a comedy series his film company is producing, and Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel's on the guest list.
Spring Hill Productions, co-owned by James and business partner Maverick Carter, will host the screening Thursday night when they'll show the first two episodes of "Survivor's Remorse," a Starz network comedy on the rise of a basketball phenom.
James has returned to play for the Cavaliers after four seasons with the Miami Heat. He and Carter have invited family and friends to the event. Some of Manziel's off-field projects are being handled by LRMR, James' marketing group.
Carter tells The Associated Press he wanted to do something special in Cleveland because "there is so much great energy at home right now." Carter said Spring Hill Productions is looking into filming and producing future projects in Northeast Ohio.
