CMH Fashion Week, Columbus' official fashion week, kicks off Oct. 12. We caught up with the six designers and boutique owners participating in the second annual bridal runway show to chat wedding-day fashion and more. Here, Cierra Reeve of Cierra Lauren Designs shares her gown inspiration.

When did you start your line?

I graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design with a degree in Fashion Design, and I gained experience designing for brands such as Abercrombie and Fitch. Since graduating in 2010, I have been working on my brand Cierra Lauren, but officially launched my couture bridal line this past year. I plan to continue to grown my brand and focus on bridal, bridal accessories and ready-to-wear as well.

What inspires your designs?

All of my designs are inspired by a rustic bohemian sense of style. I incorporate a lot of vintage fabrics and trims that really make my designs unique and one-of-a-kind. I love to travel and experience different cultures and all of that plays a big role in my design process.

Who is the Cierra Lauren Bride?

The Cierra Lauren Bride is someone who has always dreamt of her special day being something unique. She loves sheer layers, lace and attention to detail. Expressing her individuality is what sets her apart from other brides and makes her unique.

How about a runway-show teaser?

The collection of Cierra Lauren that will be hitting the runway for CMH Fashion Week will be filled with unexpected color, Victorian fabrics and antique laces. The combination of these elements creates a bohemian sense of style and puts a twist on the traditional bride.

What's your advice for brides who want to really stand out on their wedding day?

Don't be afraid to make a statement, because sometimes it's the special detail in a dress or accessory that will leave a lasting impression and make the look unforgettable.
