Calle 13 is top nominee at the Latin Grammys

The Latin Grammys could mark Independence Day for Calle 13.
The Puerto Rican band is the top competitor at Thursday's awards show, a success achieved with the band's first album released on its own record label.
Eduardo Cabra of the group is nominated for 10 awards, including producer of the year, while the band is up for nine.
Calle 13's "Multiviral" is nominated for album of the year, while the group's "Respira El Momento" and "Ojos Color Sol" will compete for song and record of the year.
Calle 13 will perform at the show, which will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Other performers include Chris Brown, Pitbull, Carlos Vives, Carlos Santana, Joan Manuel Serrat and Juanes.
