Our friends at Souper Heroes are hosting their latest community dinner this Saturday, Jan. 10.

Join them from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Commissary, 1400 Dublin Road, Columbus 43215. This one is themed "Potatoes Aren't Just For Salad!" (They're out to prove to Zack Danger Brown– the man behind thePotato Salad Kickstarter Campaign– that potatoes are equally awesome in soup!)

Once a month during Soup Season (October-May) Souper Heroes issues a call-out for soup makers who volunteer to bring a family-style slow cookerfull of soup to their host venue that month. They invite anyone and everyone to come and enjoy all the complimentary soup and bread they want. You can visit with the soup makers, with each other and grab a drink. In support of their mission – to have fun with food and community while providing for those who don't have enough of either, they set out their Donation Slow Cooker. Diners are welcome to throw in a donation to help the organizations they support within the hunger relief system – likeThe Mid-Ohio Foodbank,Children's Hunger AllianceandNeighborhood Services Inc.

Sign up here to bring a potato inspired soup to serve!

As always, a special thanks toMatija Breadfor supplying the wonderfully, fresh-baked bread,Watershed Distilleryfor donating the paper products and our Souper PartnerWeiland's Market.
