The 41st annual Central Ohio Mineral, Fossil, Gem & Jewelry Show is coming this weekend to the Northland Performing Arts Center in Columbus.

As their publicity likes to note, this is the only gem and mineral show in central Ohio that welcomes children and, in fact, offers activities designed specifically for children. Plus they also provide a free mineral specimen to every child who attends!

The theme for this year's show is "Frozen: Ohio's Ice Age" and many of the exhibits and presentations at the show will focus on what happened in Ohio during that period of time when it was covered by glaciers.

The Northland Performing Arts Center is located at 4411 Tamarack Blvd., Columbus 43229. The show will take place Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Admission is $7 per adult ($12 for a two-day pass), $6 per senior, $3 per child 6-16, and Scouts who attend in uniform and teachers with school ID can attend for free. Proceeds of the show benefit scholarships for Ohio earth science majors.
