Lindsay Welk, Intervention Specialist

Lindsay Welk is an Intervention Specialist at the Marysville High School Multi-Handicapped Class.

Lindsay started working with this population of students when she was in the 7th grade herself and knew then she wanted to teach this class of students. She graduated from Ohio Dominican University with a major in mild to moderate and moderate to intensive teaching.

She received her Master's Degree from Ashland University in Special Education Administration. Lindsay has worked with these students for 12 years now, has also coached Special Olympics and has truly made these students welcome and happy in the class to learn.

She takes time to go to any sporting events her pupils participate in, their graduation ceremonies and open house and has been able in many instances to present them with their diplomas. She has truly made these student a big part of her life and thrilled with their achievements, no matter how small or large.

She has had many parents amazed at what their son or daughter has achieved, with their limited capabilities. She is gifted teacher and goes above and beyond what might be expected of her. She uses special techniques that she adapts for each student to meet their needs. Each and every one of her student is special to her.
