The Scoop: Short North Parlor Room opens, The Chintz Room to close

Short North Parlor Room, a neighborhood cocktail bar serving brunch, lunch, dinner and late night eats, opens today in the former home of Surly Girl at 1126 N. High St.

Jack and Benny's Downtown Diner, a sister restaurant to the popular North Campus greasy spoon,opens at 12 E. Broad St. on Monday, August 1.

The Chintz Room*will close after a year and a half. The Downtown restaurant announced on Facebook that its final hurrah will take place this Sunday, featuring "a super end-of-the-line blow out drag brunch" with Virginia West.

Bonifacio, the new modern Filipino restaurant in Grandview, will host a limited brunch menu this Saturday and Sunday. Owner Krizzia Yanga says she plans to open regularly beginning the weekend of Aug. 6.

Challah! Food Truck chef and owner Catie Randazzo has opened a kitchen inside Woodland's Tavern. Expect Jewish deli-inspired favorites from the truck, plus some new menu offerings.

Graze Seasonal MarketGrill, a farm-to-fork lunchspot, has replaced Milo'sCapitol Cafe inside theOhio Statehouse.

The Butcher and Groceris now open at 1089 W. First Ave.in Grandview. Owners Tim Struble and Tony Tanner are collaborating with local suppliers such as James Anderson to provide Ohio-raised meats, plus cheeses, spices and other gourmet staples.

Lancaster, Ohio, will be home to Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc.'s first fast-casual burger concept. The Denver-based chain announced that Tasty Made will serve burgers, fries and milkshakes.

The scotch barManifestohas closed and its sister restaurantde-Novowas scheduled to move in late July to a new location overlooking Columbus Commons at 150 S. High St.

The Wine Guy's Gahanna location at Creekside is under new ownership and has been rebranded to Somedays Bistro and Wine Bar.
