Real Wedding Wednesdays: Aubrey Fisher and Joshua Thompson
Photo credit: Brett Loves Elle Photography
Aubrey and Joshua Thompson knew of each other because they both attended the same church in Columbus, but they credit their official introduction as happening in an unusual place: In the peanut butter aisle at Kroger. The pair headed down an aisle of a different sort after Joshua popped the question by spelling out "Marry Me?" in lights in a barn. "It was extremely romantic and blissful," says Aubrey.
Their wedding featured a foot washing ceremony using a bowl that had belonged to Aubrey's great-great-grandmother. Aubrey and Joshua incorporated other personal touches into the ceremony, including a pin from Joshua's great-great-great-grandmother, a signature berry-flavored drink and a canvas that guests painted on in lieu of a traditional guest book.
"The most memorable moments of the weekend were experiencing the love and support from our family and friends," Aubrey says, "and celebrating the beautiful gift of marriage!"
