Real Wedding Wednesdays: Melissa Jones and William Derook

Today is a special Real Wedding Wednesday; Melissa and William Derook celebrated their first wedding anniversary yesterday!

The pair met through a game app and connected virtually, texting and Skypeing for several months before William flew to Ohio from Canada. After that, each took turns visiting the other in their respective countries.

To propose, William surprised Melissa with a trip to Edmonton during her visit to our neighbors to the north. He popped the question on the return trip; six months later, the two were wed in an intimate backyard ceremony with a "garden romance" theme in Grove City.

"Our entire wedding was intimate and personal," says Melissa. "All of my friends gathered to help set up, make bouquets and centerpieces. Every little detail was handled with love. I could not have had a better day!"
