When the time came for Lauren and George Psaras to plan their wedding, they drew inspiration from their venue. Their theme? "My big fat Greek wedding," a la the romantic comedy of the same name. Here's hoping their wedding featured all the romance (and less of the farce-centric comedy) from the movie.

Lauren and George met on Halloween in 2006, when friends introduced them at the now-closed Sugar Bar in Downtown Columbus. George's proposal would fit right in to any rom-com film, too: He got on the intercom at the elementary school where Lauren teaches kindergarten and asking her to be his wife.

"Our wedding weekend was a busy but unforgettable weekend, with the Rolling Stones in town and the downtown Zombie Walk coinciding with our wedding date," says Lauren. "All this and the rain didn't stop us from having an amazing gathering of our two families in glorious Greek fashion!"
