Fashion Week Columbus starts tomorrow, and we were over the moon to hear about this year's wedding component. The High Fashion Tea and Wedding Show takes place at 1 p.m. this Sunday at The Grand Event Center, a brand-new venue in Grandview Yard.

"Traditionally, the High Fashion Tea is our signature kick-off to Fashion Week's festivities," says Michelle Moore, co-chair of the Fashion Week Columbus marketing committee. "This year, the High Fashion Tea and Wedding Show are coming together for an exquisitely fashionable, first-of-its-kind event in Columbus."

The wedding fashion show features original creations from three Columbus designers: Joan Madison, owner of Joan's Bridal Couture; Zuri Greer, co-founder of Persona Custom Clothiers; and Melissa Koch, owner of Melissa Koch Bridal. And the high tea? That showcases couture desserts from El Campanario and teas from Sweet Simpliciteas. All of this will be set to the delightful sounds of the Columbus Symphony String Quartet.

Other vendors you can expect to see at the show include Pride Perfect Weddings, New You Center, Charles Penzone Salons, Foot Petals, Dummen Orange and Central Ohio Aesthetics.

We'll be there, and we hope to see you there as well! Tickets are $100; proceeds from Fashion Week Columbus help provide scholarships to fashion design students.
