Real Wedding Wednesdays: Amanda Sorenson and Brett Hamilton

Amanda and Brett Hamilton didn't have what you'd call a traditional wedding, and they're perfectly happy about that.
"Our wedding was very 'us,' " Amanda says. "Our ceremony was short and sweet. One of our dearest friends married us, which was really special for us. We skipped traditional music and walked down the aisle to The Beatles."
"We did not do many wedding traditions that you expect to see at a wedding," she adds. The Hamiltons skipped the cake cutting, first dance, bouquet toss and other "typical" moments. "We wanted our day to be a celebration of our love and the family and friends who supported us through the years."
The Columbus natives, who currently live in Florida, first met in high school, though they didn't start dating until six years after graduation. Long timelines seem to have worked out for them, too; after dating for eight years and being engaged for two, the pair said "I do" one year ago this week. Happy anniversary!
