Empty Bowls Benefits Mid-Ohio Foodbank

Families wishing to assist the hungry can do so by lending their support to the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department’s annual Empty Bowls program.
The innovative fundraiser brings communities together over bowls of hot soup to raise money for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. Various locations around the city invite the public to donate $10 for a meal of soup and bread. Diners also receive a souvenir bowl to take home.
Since the program’s inception 20 years ago, the city has raised more than $257,000. For more information, go to columbus.gov/emptybowls.
