What you missed in Columbus for Nov. 11

Ohio State's DaVon Hamilton (53) celebrates with Zach Harrison, rear, and Malik Harrison after sacking Maryland's Josh Jackson in the first half Saturday.

The Ohio State Buckeyes dominant season continued with a 73-14 shellacking of Maryland over the weekend. Don't feel too bad for the Terrapins, though, which stomped the overmatched Howard Bisons 79-0 in its season opener. What goes around comes around, I guess. OSU recorded the win without its best player, defensive end Chase Young, who is under NCAA investigation for accepting a loan from a family friend. A suspension of multiple games is likely for Young.

Have you ever wanted to make $9 an hour standing around in a prison in order to (potentially) spot a brief flash of yourself in a crowd on the big screen? Well, you might be in luck! Recently, a casting call went out looking for extras for "Cherry," the latest movie from from the Russo Brothers ("Avengers: Endgame"), which is scheduled to film at the Marion Correctional Facility on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 14 and 15. A press release notes that filmmakers will cast "over 100" age 21 and over male extras, and star Tom Holland, aka the best Spider-Man, will be on hand for the shoot. Those interested are required to email photos of themselves and their car to angela@angelaboehmcasting.com.

Did you catch Wilco at the Palace Theatre last night? Judging by social media posts, it was one helluva show. Since we didn't actually review it (I had planned to, but the early arrival of our new daughter has kept me busy of late), here's a video of the band performing new song "Love Is Everywhere (Beware)" on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" from earlier this year.
