Scrawl to reunite

Great news, local music freaks! Scrawl is reuniting, and the buzz suggests that, unlike previous reunions, this might not be just a one-time deal.

The Columbus indie legends will return May 19 for the Little Brother's 10-year anniversary along with the likes of Earwig, The Lindsay and another reunited act, Ishkabibble. Word on the street (unconfirmed for now) is that Marcy Mays and Sue Harshe, along with new drummer Jovan Karcic (Gaunt, You're So Bossy), are working on new songs, and that the May 19 show is only the beginning of a full-fledged revival.

Hopefully they really are playing more than one show because I'll be on vacation May 19, and I don't want to miss this. I spent this band's entire life span growing up in Westerville, ignorant of the sounds emanating from High Street, so I'm psyched to get the chance to witness Marcy and Sue back in action. I'll get you more information on the Scrawl reunion when I have it.
