Quick, durable outfielder Kenny Lofton returned to the Cleveland Indians roster after bouncing around the league during the past several seasons. This, of course, proves that Kenny Lofton has as many lives as Kenny McCormick, though Lofton has never disappeared for an entire season, as was the case with the orange-jacket hero during season six of South Park.

Alive managing editor Brian Lindamood has more about the return of Lofton and what he calls the Awesome Era, the Indians from 1994-1997. I like that phrase. I was there when it all went down, too, attending one game in every post-season series from 1994-1999.

What I like most about this era is remembering all the obscure players who played with the Tribe during that time. See them after the jump...
