Your Weekend In Music: August 3-5

I picked an awful weekend to skip town. Consider these star-studded local music events:

Tonight at Carabar, 115 Parsons Ave., is the release party for the awesome Dolby F---ers album I reviewed yesterday. Grafton, Cheater Slicks, The Lindsay and Jordan O'Jordan are playing too.

Across town at Ruby Tuesday, 1978 Summit St., is the first night of Lost Weekend Records' Super Summer Spectacular, an amazing two-day rock event. The Moon and Badtimes, a new project from Dustin White, headlines the night, which also stars The Makebelieves, Malabar Bros., Necropolis, Cotton Jackson and Greenlawn Abbey.

Saturday, Lost Weekend's extravaganza continues with 1970, Scrawl, Second State Butchers, The Lindsay, The Patsys and Beard of Stars.

There are some other decent shows going on, but they all pale in the face of these ones.
