It’s probably not the message the Big Ten Network meant to send to fans, but I heard it loud and clear: It’s OK not to watch Ohio State football. You can probably find better things to do with your Saturday, especially during the early-season snoozefests.
Needless to say, I don’t have DirecTV or Insight cable, so the Big Ten Network has not yet gotten their grabby grabbers on my $1.10 a month.
I meant to watch the Youngstown State romp at Hineygate, but, you know, a noon game is kinda early. My valiant effort to mow the yard first led to me running some errands and actually getting other stuff done (gasp!), all while listening to the game on the radio. I feel like I’ve rediscovered weekend multitasking.
Thanks, Big Ten Network! Your awesomeness has left me $1.10 richer and with a freshly manicured lawn. I can’t wait to listen to the Akron game while caulking the bathtub.
