Salvation Army to become condos

My favorite thrift store in the entire world, the former Salvation Army on S. Front Street, will become a new condo complex developed by Eclipse Real Estate Group, a subsidiary of Edwards Companies, which has rehabilitated much of the surrounding Brewery District Neighborhood.

The store is already closed, so don't go there looking for last-minute sales. The stock has been moved to another location on S. High Street, though I couldn't find it on the locator map [here].

The development company plans to rehab the current building, as well as construct nother next door. More than 50 condos and street-level retail will be offered when construction is completed.

Normally, I have few expectations for new condo complexes. People seem to like them; that's fine. But this warehouse of used goodies was dear to me, so the people better get their act together and make something nice with it.
