Nature Notes: Bike ride to benefit cancer research

Looking for a good bike ride this weekend? I got this from the people at the Trek Bicycle Store in New Albany:

On Saturday, October 13, Columbus bikers are invited to join an estimated 1,400 individuals from 60 Trek Bicycle dealers across the country for the second annual Breast Cancer Awareness Ride.

Last year more than 75 riders turned out at the New Albany location to take part in the 10-mile leisurely ride. This year, even more riders are expected. It's a 10-mile “no-drop” leisurely ride, leaving no riders behind, with a 25-mile advanced ride option for the more serious rider.

Riders can register online here or at the store by 9 a.m. The ride will leave at 10 a.m. Prizes, lunch and entertainment will be offered.
