Lupe Fiasco show is students only

There has been some confusion about the Lupe Fiasco show taking place at the Newport Music Hall on Sunday, March 2. I talked to a spokesperson for Promowest Productions, and she said that the show is sponsored by the Ohio Union Activities Board. It is exclusive to Ohio State Students.

That said, here's a bit more about the new record for all the Buckeyes reading this blog:

Had Lupe Fiasco trashed the first three nonsensical tracks and filler elsewhere on his latest album, The Cool would have been a top hip-hop album of 2007, even with its release in late December. When he finally gets down to business, the Chicago emcee effortlessly combines the groove-based whimsy of The Pharcyde with the layered, heavily synthesized production of peers like Pharrell Williams and Kanye West. For proof, check out “The Coolest,” “Superstar” and “Paris, Tokyo” -- the meat of his latest album.
