What To Do Tonight: Meet South Africa's finest

Intriguing band coming to High Five, 1225 N. High St., tonight: Stealing Love Jones, one of South Africa's most popular acts. Their music doesn't sound particularly influenced by geography; it's straightforward female-fronted rock with crunchy guitars and pop hooks. But from the songs on their MySpace page, these guys are professionals who know how to put on a good show. I imagine they're used to playing in front of large crowds, so it will be interesting to see what they're like in a small room like High Five. They're joined by badass female punks The Mary Anns and funky hip-hop band Thick as Thieves.

Across town at Rumba Cafe, 2507 Summit St., local folk-rock legend Tim Easton checks in for the first of two shows there in the next few weeks. Seems like he might be solo tonight; next week he returns with his Alaskan backing band The Whipsaws.

Speaking of Alaska, Men In Trees (10 p.m., ABC) returns with its first new episodes in two months. Also on the small screen, tonight is part one of Project Runway's (10 p.m., Bravo) season finale.
