What To Do Tonight: Make The Boss work for you

EDIT: I came across an exciting MySpace bulletin from experimental musician Ryan Jewell, who will perform with several others tonight in a new series at historic Old First Presbyterian, 1101 Bryden Rd, touted as the oldest church in Ohio. In the Xchange Music Series' inaugural event, percussionist Jewell will duet with Gerard Cox (piano soundboard) in the stairwell, while Hasan Abdur-Razzaq (reeds) will do his thing in the sanctuary and Chicago's Jaimie Branch (trumpet) and Marc Riordan (percussion) will play the mezzanine space. The show—not a religious event, they stress—starts at 8 p.m.

At 9 p.m., PBS premieres the first half of a Frontline series called "Bush's War," while new series I Survived (9 p.m., Biography) gives first-person accounts of people living through harrowing circumstances. Otherwise, fan favorite How I Met Your Mother (8:30 p.m., CBS), featuring a much-ballyhooed Britney Spears guest spot, and eternally cheesy cop show CSI: Miami (10 p.m., CBS) are the brightest spots on a TV schedule that's still mostly dim.
