What To Do Tonight: Get out of the rain and into the Basement

Tonight's top show is one of those where the local acts might have as many fans in the crowd as the touring acts. Such is the case when such beloved pop rockers as Earwig and The Kyle Sowashes* are on the bill. The headliners of this event are none other than De Novo Dahl, a hard-touring indie rock act from the not-so-indie music haven of Nashville. They fit in well with the aforementioned locals, which should make for a full night of electrified melodies and lyrical witticisms. (Pollstar says a band called Carolina Liar will be playing too, but PromoWest makes no mention of that.) Doors open at 7 p.m., music starts at 8 and admission is $10.

*I should note that I have been known to fill in on bass with the Sowashes from time on time, though you won't see me up there tonight.

On TV, we've got the 35-and-over version of Top Model, known as She's Got the Look, premiering at 10 p.m. on TV Land. And a new half-hour documentary series called On the Road in America (9 p.m., Sundance) makes its debut. Also, part one of the Top Chef season finale airs (10 p.m., Bravo). and wouldn't you like to see Ben Affleck's episode of Biography (10 p.m., Biography)? No?
