What To Do Tonight: Jets, polka dots and local wonders

This evening's top live music engagement comes courtesy of Carabar, 115 Parsons Ave., where the shows are always free and usually solid. That's how I'd describe tonight's bill, which brings to town Washington, DC's hard-edged pop rockers The Jet Age and the rustic/cutesy sounds of Polka Dot Dot Dot (featuring Ohio ex-pat Jordan O'Jordan). Fleshing out the lineup are two fine indie rock combos from these parts, The Kyle Sowashes and Rosehips. 10 p.m. start time for that 'un.

Also, that Baby Borrowers show starts (9 p.m., NBC), and at 10 p.m. Bravo begins its latest metrosexual skills competition, the haircut challenge Shear Genius.
