Two shows of note on the Tuesday night docket:

First, Chicago's Maps & Atlases will follow lines of latitude and longitude to The Basement, 391 Neil Ave., where they'll play their jazz-infected indie pop alongside Portland's Nurses and locals Six Gallery. $10 isn't a bad price for this bill at all, and I could get used to rock shows with 7 p.m. door times.

That show might be close to wrapping up by the time the Static Static/Fey Gods/AS*US show goes down at Cafe Bourbon Street, 2216 Summit St. Static Static brings their electro-garage sounds all the way from L.A., while the other two acts hail from these parts. Fey Gods is Nick and Lula from Grave Blankets now that they finally gave up on finding a permanent drummer. Altered States of the United Snakes is local soothsayer Davey Highben and his rotating cast of experimental rockers. 10 p.m. start time and probably $5 to get in.
