What To Do Tonight: See a band that sounds nothing like Nine Inch Nails and yet made me flash back to The Fragile anyway

I'm wary of any band that gives itself a name like Starf**ker, but the Portland combo that goes by that name is making me a believer. The first thing that crossed my mind when I heard their name was this old Nine Inch Nails single, but this band's music is much more laid back. It's electronic pop on a lazy afternoon stroll, with MGMT's psych harmonies and the whispery cuteness of Architecture in Helsinki. This is not monumental music, but it's highly enjoyable and likely worth a look when the band stops at Skully's, 1151 N. High St., tonight. Over-the-top garage rockers Outer Spacist and indie-Americana rising stars The Lost Revival share the bill. This FREE show starts at 10 p.m.

EDIT: I should probably note Lucinda Williams' stop at LC Pavilion as well as this cool house show.

As for TV picks, I've got three of them:

(1) The season finale of Project Runway (10 p.m., Bravo). (2) The 100th episode of Dog the Bounty Hunter (9 p.m., A&E). (3) The series premiere of Chocolate News (10:30 p.m., Comedy Central), David Alan Grier's new afrocentric fake news show.

Oh, and there's a presidential debate, in case the last one didn't turn you off to politics for all time.
