Song of the Day: Tin Armor

Chris DeVille has been raving about local band Tin Armor, who has been awarded some high-profile opening spots for touring indie-rock outfits brought to town by former Little Brother's booking agent Ben Hamilton. I usually take his advice about these things.

Except for The Dismemberment Plan. I just don't get them.

I do get Armor, though. The band brings together Piebald, Elvis Costello, The Clash and the good parts (not the annoying ones) of Vampire Weekend. (Don't worry: these boys didn't get a New York Times review on their third day of practice. They cut their teeth the old-fashioned way.)

Tin Armor returns to Columbus Nov. 12 for a show at the Legion of Doom.
