Ohio Senate approves 3C rail plan

Rail advocates were edgy yesterday, thinking that the GOP-controlled Ohio Senate would strip all funding for intercity passenger service from H.B. 2, a statewide transportation bill. However, The Associated Press reported today:

"Republicans who control the Ohio Senate will allow the state to pursue $250 million in federal stimulus funding for passenger rail service between major cities."
