Tonight's show at The Treehouse, 887 Chambers Rd., would be worth checking out if only for The Liquid Crystal Project, the "jazz-hop" band featuring acclaimed local DJ/producer J Rawls and a cast of crack musicians.

But tonight's bill gets a lot more intriguing when you consider who else is playing. The performance art band formerly known as Hugs 'N' Kisses has switched around its lineup and rechristened itself with the highly inflammatory name "N***er Lover." Read the heated discussion about the group's nomenclature at DoneWaiting, then roll on over to the Treehouse by 10 p.m. Chris Burney (ex-The Sun) will play, too.
