The new regulation goes into effect Monday, April 6. Annual permits for the two-wheel locations will cost $50 and are available at the Parking Violations Bureau, 400 W. Whittier St. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

“The annual permit fee will offset our costs for signage, pavement markings and maintenance,” Randy Bowman, administrator of the Division of Mobility Options, said today in a release.

The 23 corrals designated in Downtown, the Short North and Brewery District accommodate about 267 two-wheeled vehicles. In coming months, the city will scout unused spaces that could be transformed into additional parking spots.
