  • As I've begun to help out with a community garden in South Linden, I've noticed similar projects popping up all over town. There's even a local blog covering the growing community. Pun.
  • The Nature Conservancy is protecting five important salmon watersheds in Washington, which is good news for anyone who wants to fish there within the next 50 years. Also, the website has a great interactive feature about how to protect a watershed.
  • On May 5, the Metro Parks will ask voters to approve a 0.75-mill levy that will provide the bulk of operating expenses for the next 10 years. Levy facts here.
