Song of the Day: The Staple Singers

Pop music from the early '70s was very good at evoking sunshine. Case in point: this groovy 1971 single from The Staple Singers, perhaps the greatest family band ever recorded. (Take that, Hanson!)

The theme and title was clearly a cash-in on hippie words and vibes -- which by then had became profitable and marketable -- but the backbone and vocals of this song are too strong to dismiss it as anything but a fun song to blow the clouds away.
