What To Do Wednesday: Frontier Ruckus

Michigan-based Frontier Ruckus isn't completely honest with its name. Their warm rural balladry certainly evokes visions of the frontier, but there's not much ruckus in the mix. Nonetheless, the Southeast Engine pals are worth seeing for any fans of emotive Americana. They'll be opening for Cotton Jones (name is a huge turnoff, but I'm digging their whistle song) tonight at Rumba Cafe, 2507 Summit St. Old Hundred, who got Local Love a while back, will play too. Tickets cost $7 and show starts at 8 p.m.
