What To Do This Weekend: Say goodbye, say hello

As noted yesterday, tonight finds The Slide Machine hanging it up. But this weekend also marks a beginning point for three promising bands (St. Moses the Black, Old Worlds, Rollo) releasing their first official recordings.

But I've already told you about all that. There's some more good stuff happening. Consider the Tent Revival in nearby Frazeysburg. That MySpace ain't too helpful, so how about this article instead. A highlight of this shindig should be Lydia Loveless playing with a new backing band: none other than 2009 Band to Watch Couch Forts. Could be hot stuff.

A Times New Viking-endorsed band from Philly called Reading Rainbow will be at Cafe Bourbon Street Saturday. Meanwhile, Candye Kane is making a comeback from cancer at the Thirsty Ear, and New Bomb Turks are playing Ravari Room. (They'll do Destory-Oh-Boy! in full. More on them later today.)

And tonight at Ravari Room there's one more CD release that cannot be named.
