What To Do Wednesday: Times New Viking

Columbus Alive

Times New Viking doesn't exactly make themselves scarce; they tend to play lots of local shows when they're in Columbus. Trouble for us yokels is that the band's tour schedule has gotten so intense that they're rarely around to rock us with that ear-searing pop music they do so well. So tonight's North American tour kickoff at The Summit, 2210 Summit St. — which also functions as an album release party for fourth LP Born Again Revisited (read my review) — is a must-see. Vile Gash begins the proceedings at 10:30 p.m., followed shortly after by Envelope, then a 23+ song set from TNV. An afterparty next door at Cafe Bourbon Street kicks off at 1 a.m. with The Unholy Two and DJ Detox.
