What To Do Thursday: Sink your teeth into Red Fang

Your musical Thursday in brief:

Garage thrashers deluxe Red Fang will smash your head in at The Summit, 2210 Summit St., tonight at 9 after sets from Lo-Pan and Super Silver. (My Red Fang preview is here, and a clip of the band performing in their hometown is embedded above.)

Mall-punk flavors of the month Boys Like Girls will headline a sold-out LC Pavilion, 405 Neil Ave. After the 6:30 p.m. door time, a parade of openers including The Maine, A Rocket to the Moon, Versa Emerge and Disco Curtis will perform.

STS9 will get all hip-hop fusion on you at Newport Music Hall, 1722 N. High St., with support from Telepath. Tickets cost $25.
