Yet another big weekend for live music is coming down the pike, headlined by a big hip-hop two night stand at Skully's, 1151 N. High St.

The Friday fun features Talib Kweli (preview) supported by The 3rd, Adjust, DJ Inform, Liquid Crystal Project, Omnibreed, Matt Reed and T.G.P. and the Usual Suspects. I understand Liquid Crystal Project is starting things off at 9:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15, but I'd get there early if you didn't buy presale just in case it sells out at the door.

An even more exciting bill is lined up for Saturday starring Ghostface Killah (preview). The openers include Fashawn, Thought Set and DJs Detox and Pos 2. Tickets are $17 advance and $20 at the door.

Saturday morning, the Wexner Center is supplementing Monday's Eccentric Soul Revue with an event called Eccentric Soul Brunch at Tip Top Kitchen and Cocktails, 73 E. Gay St. The event, which runs from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., features lots of local DJs plus ex-pat Dante Carfagna celebrating the Numero Group's successful soul excavations. Portions from the food and drink proceeds go toward Arc of Ohio. Click here for more details on this free event. Also: The Wex assembled this mixtape to get you ready for Monday.

Then there's the emo eruption set for Sunday at Newport Music Hall, 1722 N. High St., when the Get Up Kids reunion tour (preview) roars into town. Kevin Devine and The Life and Times will open this shindig. $18 advance, $22 at the door, which opens at 6:30 p.m.
