Minneapolis progressive metalheads Zebulon Pike, who sound absolutely crushing based on their MySpace tracks, will dominate Carabar, 115 Parsons Ave., tonight at 10. They're one of those all-too-rare heavy bands that bust out unpredictably snaky riffs and complex harmonies without delving into music theory fetish. Their neighbors Self-Evident are making the trip too, and locals Deadsea will welcome both with open arms. As with all Carabar shows, this is free.
