From Trashy to Flashy: 2 great local chefs convert cheap eats into gourmet cuisine

Look at this beautiful food. Now digest that fact that it was mostly made w/ a bunch of frozen, canned, dehydrated and (except for a rare few items) bottom-shelf, cheap-ass groceries. It was all part of a wildly fun game I recently played with two of the best chefs in town, who graciously indulged me by working on their days off and dirtying up their kitchens after busy and frantic Saturday night services. They are both very special people and they contribute greatly to making Columbus a neat place to live--even a source of pride! I only hope they had half as much fun with this project as I did. Read all about the "game" in the next Alive.
